As a Freshman, 2009: (Indoor Track): Competed in the pole vault and received an A-Sun Third Team All-Conference nomination,tying for third in the A-Sun with a height of 2.90 meters. (Outdoor Track): Specialized in pole vaulting, she competed in six meets … of the six meets she reached her best height of 3.25m at the Seminole Twilight and had her best finish at the UNF Osprey Challenge taking home second place.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Boone High School, McCorkle did the pole vault all four years of high school ... her high school team, the Braves, won the metro district competition in both 2007 and 2008 and was regional champion in 2007 ... McCorkle herself won the All-Metro, All-Region, All-Area and All-District competitions her junior year before coming in second at All-State competition ... her senior year she won All-Metro, took second in All-Region, won All-Area and All-District and again took second at All-State ... her best ever vault was a massive 11’6’’ ... McCorkle was also a cheerleader and diver at different points during high school.
Personal: Born April 30, 1990 in Orlando, FL where she also grew up ... her parents are Corina and Michael McCorkle ... McCorkle also has a younger brother named Colton ... planning to get a degree related to medicine ... her habits include watching TV and movies and her future goal is to compete in the Olympics.
