As a Sophomore in 2004-05: Recorded five top-five finishes on the season ... best showing of the year was a third-place finish against FIU/Georgia Southern in the 200-backstroke (2:13.89) ... finished fourth in the 200-backstroke at the National Independent Conference meet (2:08.36) ... other top performances included swimiming the 200-backstroke in 2:09 and the 500-freestyle in 5:11 at the NIC. As a Freshman in 2003-04: Won the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:42:57 against FSU/UNC Wilmington. Placed third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:10.8) against Gardner Webb/College of Charleston. Best time in the 100-yard backstroke was 1:00:79 in the NIC meet. Also placed third in the 200-yard medley relay (4:07.96) against Georgia Southern. Best time in the 200-yard backstroke was 2:09.25 in the NIC meet. High School: 2003 graduate of Bartram Trail High School, where she was coached by John Aggas. Consolation finalist in the Florida High School State meet in 2001 and 2002. Member of the national honor roll and graduated with a 3.93 GPA. Personal: Major is pre-dentistry. Born Jan. 20, 1985. Parents are Glenn and Elizabeth Barrs. She enjoys coaching little children and dancing. Hopes to be a cosmetic dentist.
