As a junior, 2005-06: Battled her way back from a broken foot to compete in five events, including the Pacific Coast swimming Championship ... recorded five top three finishes on the year, including a first-place finish against Georgia Southern in the 100-freestyle ... also finished second in that meet in the 200-freestyle (1:57.57) ... recorded a season best :54.04, tying for 14th at the PCSC meet.
As a sophomore, 2004-05 (Indian River CC): Member of four national title winning relay teams (800-freestyle, 400-freestyle, 200-freestyle and 200-medley) ... finished second in the NJCAA Championship in the 50-freestyle (:24.8), and third in the 100-freestyle (:54.02) and 200-freestyle (1:55.04).
As a freshman, 2003-04 (Indian River CC): Named an All-America six times for her performance at the national meet ... won national titles in the 200-freestyle, 200-freestyle relay, 800-freestyle relay and 400-freestyle relay ... named team[apos]s most improved swimmer.
High School: 2003 graduate of Klein Oak High School, where she swam for coach Rick Mills ... three time state medalist, eight time regional medalist and 12 time district medalist ... was an all-region selection on the cross-country team as well.
Personal: Majoring in communications ... Born July 6, 1984, in Houston, Texas ... hometown is Spring, Texas ... daughter of Tina and Gary Lewis ... has one older brother, Justin (24), and one younger brother, Alex (8) ... says that she is obsessed with lady bugs ... future ambition is to be an event coordinator.
