No. 37 LSU Slips Past No. 75 @OspreyMTen

BATON ROUGE, La. - No. 37 LSU slipped past North Florida men's tennis with a three-set win as the Tigers grabbed a 4-3 win on Friday evening at the LSU Tennis Complex.Â
Freshman Sahil Deshmukh tied the match at 3-all with a three-set win, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 6 spot. With the match on the line in the No. 5 singles match, Zach Goldberg grabbed the second set win to force a third, but could not overcome Andrew Korinek who clinched the match with a final set victory.Â
To open the match, LSU jumped out in front with doubles wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 spots before extending its lead with a quick win in the No. 4 spot, 6-0, 6-1.
Junior Yannick Zuern put the first Osprey point on the scoresheet with a 6-0, 6-3 victory in the No. 2 position. The Tigers then won in the No. 1 match before the Ospreys grabbed another victory in the No. 3 position from Lasse Muscheites' win against Boris Arias, 6-4, 6-2.
The Ospreys have now played six nationally-ranked teams and have gone 2-4 in those matches.
UNF now heads to South Alabama to face off with the Jaguars on Sunday at noon in Mobile, Ala.
