UNF Responsibilities: Oversees the the marketing and promotional efforts of the UNF Athletics Department, including generating revenue through corporate sponsorships, increasing attendance at home events and enhancing game atmosphere ... also serves as the administrator for gameday operations.
Experience: Worked four years in the radio industry for WBWL/WOKV in Jacksonville, first as producer of Bill Riley[apos]s morning show before being promoted to promotions director and then to assistant program director ... directed all promotions, advertising and public relations for Jacksonville[apos]s top news talk and sports talk radio stations ... scheduled and conducted guest interviews, developed and maintained two radio station websites ... implemented an incentive program for 15 assistants ... managed all commercial production and scheduling ... was appointed director of marketing and promotions for Jacksonville University in June 2001 ...while at JU, developed an extensive marketing plan, helped re-establish the JU Athletic Association, developed and executed many high-profile events, and designed and oversaw the Athletics e-newsletter ... since coming to UNF, have developed and maintained numerous corporate sponsorships, including the UNF Athletics Hotel Partner system, worked with many community groups to help build attendance at home events, including: schools, churches, non-profit organizations, hospitals, corporations, Rotary clubs, YMCA and PAL, scouts, etc. ... serves as athletics staff advisor for cheerleading, dance team, mascot, drumline, and The Flock (student spirit group) ... established the Junior Osprey Club...Panel discussion member of [quote]Sportscasting Your Future[quote] event ... serves on several UNF committees, including Public Relations, Posting/Signage, Integrated Marketing Team, and Leadership UNF (2006-07).
