ORLANDO - No. 66 North Florida men's tennis looks to get back on the winning side of things when it travels to UCF on Saturday for a 10:30 a.m. start time.
The Ospreys (2-5) most recently dropped a 4-3 decision to Louisiana on Tuesday. UNF clinched the doubles point and followed with two singles matches, but could not close it down for the win. Freshman Jonathan Deautriell and junior Zach Goldberg picked up wins against the Ragin' Cajuns in singles action.
In the most recent ITA rankings, junior Jack Findel-Hawkins earned a No. 99 ranking, while him and doubles partner Yannick Zuern moved to No. 8 in the nation. Findel-Hawkins leads the team with four victories, while Yannick owns three in singles matches. In doubles, the duo only has one loss.
UCF is 1-3 on the season with its lone win coming against the Ragin' Cajuns two days prior to ULL defeating UNF. The Knights have a pair of doubles teams with two victories, while Mariano Porter has two victories in the No. 4 singles spot this season.Â
UNF owns a slight 5-4 edge in Division I meetings against the Knights with the Ospreys walking away with a shutout win last season.
The trip to Orlando begins a a three-game road swing for the Ospreys, however the next stint of the away contests does not begin until 13 days later. UNF travels to LSU on February 26 before heading to South Alabama on Sunday, Feb. 28.
