JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—The University of North Florida men's tennis team finishes its three-match road trip though Alabama and Louisiana this weekend with matches at No. 27 LSU and Tulane.

"Tomorrow is a completely new match with different conditions, new challenges and tough opponents," said freshman Yannick Zuern. "We will have to keep our focus strong. The win yesterday gave us confidence and we are ready for another fight."
The Ospreys are coming off a 4-3 victory over South Alabama on Thursday. The match began in the Athletic Director's format with singles first and then doubles due to the possibility of inclement weather. After UNF and South Alabama split singles 3-3, the match came down to the doubles point. The Ospreys won the first doubles match with Norbert Nemcsek and Jack Findel-Hawkins claiming a 6-4 at the No. 1 spot. Pablo Tellez and Zach Goldberg clinched the doubles point and the match for UNF with a 6-4 defeat of Shayann Vaezzdeh and Tuki Jacobs at the No. 3 position.

UNF's match with LSU is the third time the Ospreys have faced a nationally-ranked team this season. Florida State (then No. 36), Florida (then No. 14) and USF (then No. 74) were all nationally ranked when the Ospreys played them.Â

LSU is coming off a 0-2 weekend at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Nashville, Tenn. The Tigers fell 1-4 to both No. 19 Wake Forest and No. 15 Vanderbilt. LSU boasts a singles player and two doubles teams in the ITA rankings. Chris Simpson ranks No. 72 in singles. Tam Trinh and Eric Perez are No. 46 in doubles this season, while the duo of Simpson and Boris Arias are No.60.

Tulane goes into the weekend with a 3-1 record, with their only loss to No. 67 Wisconsin. Tulane goes into Sunday's match only fairing one singles loss. Tulane's match with UNF will be their second of the weekend after playing Nicholls State on Friday .

UNF's match with LSU on Saturday at 1 p.m. EST/ Noon CST at the W.T. Robinson Tennis Stadium. UNF takes on Tulane on Sunday at  2 p.m. EST/ 1 p.m. CST on Sunday at the City Park Pepsi Center.Â
