BUIES CREEK, N.C. – No. 61 University of North Florida men's tennis team fell to Campbell, 5-2 on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic Sun Conference action at the James Nisbet Tennis Center in Buies Creek, N.C.

UNF (7-4, 2-1 A-Sun) claimed the doubles point early to take a 1-0 lead over the Camels (10-2, 3-1 A-Sun). Hleb Maslau and Daniel Sotomarino teamed up at No. 2 to defeat Fernando Guillen and David Clavera, 8-5.

In the No. 3 doubles, UNF's Leonardo Nahar and Pedro Davisson paired up for a 9-7 win over the Campbell duo of Larbi Lamzouri and Josep Baro.

In singles action, Sotomarino claimed the lone UNF point defeating Larbi Lamzouri in the No. 2 with scores of 6-5, 6-4.

Maslau battled Guillen at the No. 3 as the two went to three sets. Maslau claimed the first set, 6-4, but Guillen came back for wins in the next sets with scores of 6-4, 6-4.

In the No. 6 singles, Nahar was edged in straight sets by Baro as the Campbell player held on for wins of 7-6, 7-6.

UNF will wrap up its road swing in a non-conference match on Monday, March 14 at perennial Big South power, Radford. Match time is set for 9 a.m.
