Men’s Tennis Heads to Florida Atlantic

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida men's tennis team takes to the road for a match at Florida Atlantic on Saturday, Feb. 12. Match time is set for noon at Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton, Fla.

UNF (2-2) is looking to bounce back after a close 4-3 loss to No. 67 Elon. The Ospreys got points from the No. 1, 2 and 3 singles as sophomores Moritz Buerchner and Daniel Sotomarino and senior Hleb Maslau picked up wins, respectively. Buerchner is 4-0 at No. 1 early in the season while Sotomarino holds a 3-1 record and Maslau is 2-2.

The Owls (2-2) defeated Jacksonville with a 7-0 sweep in their last match. Leading FAU this season is two-time First Team All-Sun Belt Conference honoree, Marc Abdelnour, who is 16th in the ITA Southeast Regional rankings.

UNF will return to action Saturday, Feb. 19, hosting Georgia Southern in a 2 p.m. match at UNF Tennis Complex.
