As a junior, 2005-06: Recorded eight top-three finishes on the year, competing in every event for the Lady Ospreys ... three of those finishes were wins in her event ... took home a first-place finish against North Carolina A&T in the 100-freestyle with a time of :55.06 one of the top performers for the Lady Ospreys at the Pacific Coast Swimming Championship ... recorded her best time of the year in the 50-freestyle (:24.98) at the PCSC ... followed that up with a fifth-place finish in the 100-breaststroke (1:05.80) and a third-place finish in the 200-breaststroke (2:24.80).
Previous School: Attended Duke University.
High School: 2001 graduate of Fletcher High School, where she swam for Jennifer Salles-Cunha. Helped lead her team to conference and district titles in 1997. Won four straight conference championships in the 100-breaststroke. Four-time all-district selection.
Personal: Majoring in international business. Born March 3, 1983, in Burbank, Calif. Hometown is Atlantic Beach, Fla. Daughter of Jennifer and Sergio Salles-Cunha and the younger sister of Andre, Lucas and Leandra. Brother, Andre is the UNF assistant swimming coach and a former swimmer at Stanford. Sister Leandra was a swimmer at the University of San Diego. Enjoys painting, playing volleyball and reading in her spare time.
