Gabrelcik and Higgins Both Enter Top 25 Individual

LOUDON, Tenn. - North Florida men's golf kept pace with the field during the second round, as it scored 5-over as a team to stay in the top five at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate hosted by Tennessee on Saturday afternoon.

Nick Gabrelcik returned to his three-time ASUN Golfer of the Year form on day two with six birdies on the day to card 2-under 68 for 15th overall. Robbie Higgins joins Gabrelcik in the top 25 with his round of 2-over 72 for a share of 22nd overall.

ROUND REFLECTIONS

Gabrelcik played his best at the start, shooting 4-under over a span of the last six holes of the front nine.
The senior also has been cashing in on par-four (3-under) and par-five (3-under) hole averages that both ranks sixth over the field.
Higgins stayed consistent to keep his position among the top of the leaderboard with three birdies on the day.
He joined fellow senior, Gabrelcik, with a 3-under par-five average that is top five on the leaderboard.
Andrew Riley improved from first to second round by a stroke closing the day at par-birdie-par for 2-over 72.
Davis Lee closed the final two holes with birdies, as him and Chase Carroll share a score of 7-over 147 through two rounds.
Both Higgins and Lee have even-par averages on par-three holes, which ranks top 10 overall.
The Ospreys tout the second-best par-five scoring average (9-under) and the fifth par-four average (17-over) through Saturday.
UNF also climbed up the team leaderboard for pars with 105 total, as well as birdies with 34 total to be third among the field.
