
Men’s Tennis to Host Georgia Southern

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida men's tennis team will host Georgia Southern on Saturday, Feb. 19 in a 2 p.m. match at the UNF Tennis Complex.
UNF (3-2) is coming off a 5-2 road win over Florida Atlantic in which the Ospreys got off to a quick start, picking up the doubles point early with wins at the No. 2 and 3.
UNF also claimed four singles matches as sophomore Daniel Sotomarino secured a win at No. 2. Senior Hleb Maslau grabbed a win at the No. 3 and sophomore Leonardo Nahar won at No. 4. Freshman Pedro Davisson rounded out the scoring for UNF with a win at No. 6.
The Eagles (3-2) fell to South Carolina State, 6-1 in their last outing. Juan Manual Melian Puigventos picked up the lone point for GSU at the No. 1. The Eagles finished 8-13 last season and Puigventos earned Southern Conference All-Freshman team honors in 2010.
