
Men’s Tennis Hits the Road for a Pair of Contests

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida men's tennis team will travel to Radford, Va. to face Radford University in a 3 p.m. match on Thursday, April 1. UNF will travel to Johnson City, Tenn. on Saturday, April 3 for an 11 a.m. match against No. 55 East Tennessee State.
The Ospreys (15-5, 6-2 A-Sun) are coming off a 6-1 conference win over Campbell. UNF swept the doubles match to pick up the point early. In singles play, the Ospreys picked up six points. Junior transfer Hleb Maslau secured a win at No. 1 while freshman Daniel Sotomarino added a point at No. 2. Freshmen Moritz Buerchner and Taylor Albrecht won at the No. 3 and No. 5 singles, respectively. Junior Graham Edgar had a win at No. 6.
Radford (6-8) swept Presbyterian, 7-0 in its last outing. The Highlanders Ivan Salec is No. 80 in the latest ITA rankings. He returns to RU after having won All-Big South honors the past two seasons. Radford also returns All-Conference honorees, Igor Ogrizek and Zack Watson. RU has won the Big South Conference title the past three seasons.
ETSU (11-7, 7-1 A-Sun) defeated Middle Tennessee State the last time out. The Bucs are currently ranked No. 55 in the latest ITA standings while Grega Teraz has a singles ranking of No. 118. ETSU is tied for second in the A-Sun behind USC Upstate. Teraz earned All-Atlantic Sun honors last season. The Bucs also return All-Conference honorees Robin Akser and Daniel Isaza and All-Freshman team member Sander Gille.
The Ospreys will return home to face crosstown A-Sun rival Jacksonville on Tuesday, April 6 at 2 p.m.
