JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida men's tennis team defeated Campbell, 6-1 on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic Sun action at the UNF Tennis Complex.

The Ospreys (15-5, 6-2 A-Sun) swept the doubles matches to secure the point early. Senior Kurt Gattiker and freshman Taylor Abrecht teamed up to defeat the No. 56 duo of Davy Sum and Dominik Kaniewski, 8-6 at No. 1.

Freshman Daniel Sotomarino and junior transfer Hleb Maslau paired up to for an 8-1 win over Josep Baro and Larbi Lamzouri at No. 2. In the No. 3 doubles, freshmen Leonardo Nahar and Moritz Buerchner defeated Beto Mondini and Loukas Wallaart, 8-4.

In singles matches, Maslau played a hard fought three set match against Sum at No. 1, pick up the 7-5, 4-6, 10-6 win for the Ospreys. Sotomarino also battled at the No. 2 before defeating Larbi Lamzouri, 6-2, 0-6, 6-2.

Buerchner secured the point at No. 3 with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Mondini while Albrecht defeated Wallaart, 6-0, 6-3 at No. 5. Junior Graham Edgar defeated Baro, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 6.

The Ospreys will be back on the court on Thursday, April 1 when they travel to Radford, Va. to face Radford University at 3 p.m.
