Prior to UNF: Began playing competitive tennis in 1993 ... played under coaches Ales Filipcic and Ajda Klevisar ... was ranked in the Top 50 by the European Tennis Association (U14) ... was also ranked numerous times in Slovenia, including #17 (U12), #18 (U14), #23 (U16) and #18 (U18) ... competed in the Slovenian indoor and outdoor national championships from 1998-2005 ... competed in the Open Championships from 1998-2005, advancing to the singles semifinals in 2003 and 2004 ... also finished fourth in 2004 at the First Slovenian League tournament ... also competed in snowboarding during her youth career, finishing first in her region and fourth in her state.
