
Women's Tennis Selected To Face Miami (Fla.) In NCAA Tournament First Round

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – North Florida Women's Tennis is officially slated to make its 11th NCAA Championship appearance when it battles Miami (Fla.) in the First Round in Auburn, Ala., at Yarbrough Tennis Center.
North Florida returns to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2023 after winning the program's 11th Atlantic Sun Championship title in 2026.
It marks North Florida's 11th appearance in the NCAA Championship since its Division I inception. North Florida sophomore Aryana Bartlett clinched the ASUN Championship Final with a win over FGCU on court three, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.Â
With the ASUN Final win, North Florida improved to 25-0 and is currently the only undefeated Division I program in the nation. The Ospreys dropped just two points total in their three ASUN Championship matches en route to the title.
North Florida notched six straight sweeps from its match against Charleston Southern on Feb. 13 to at Queens on Feb. 21. North Florida notched impressive non-conference wins over FAU, USF, FIU, Troy, South Alabama and Colorado State.Â
North Florida has been ranked in the ITA National Rankings for 10 straight weeks and currently ranks No. 54 in the nation. North Florida reached its highest ITA National Ranking (No. 49) since 2021 on April 8.
The winner of North Florida's NCAA First Round match will advance to face the winner of nationally-seeded No. 2 Auburn and Bryant.
