As a freshman, 2008-09: (Cross Country): Competed in four of the Osprey’s six meets…posted his best finish in the UF Gator Invite on Sept. 20 with a time of 28:21.14. (Indoor Track): Recorded a personal best of 9:34.79 at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational. (Outdoor Track): Raced in four of the Osprey’s outdoor meets … was able to finish 15th out of a field of 100 runners in the FSU Invitational on Apr. 4.
High School: Graduated from Lawton Chiles High School in 2008, where he ran for Scott Gowan for three years ... helped team win state championships in 2005 and 2006 and a state runner-up finish in 2007 ... named honorable mention all-area his junior year and first team all-area as a senior ... took first place in districts in the 4x800m race senior year, as well as second at regionals and fifth at state.
