Williams And Arnold Named NCAA East Region First Round Qualifiers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Redshirt senior Troy Williams and graduate student Aiden Arnold were named 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Region First Round qualifiers, which will be held on May 27-30 at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track and Field Complex in Lexington, Ky.

The field for the NCAA First Round East and West First Round is determined by the top-48 declared individual athletes and the top-24 declared relay teams in each region. Qualifying to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships is then accomplished by finishing among the top-12 in individual and relay competitions in the First Round. The 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. on June 10-13.

Williams posted a second-place time of 52.50 to secure Second Team All-ASUN honors in the Men's 400m Hurdles. He clocked a qualifying and program-record time of 51.36 at the East Coast Relays on May 2. Arnold recorded a qualifying time of 3:40.80 at the Pepsi Florida Relays on April 4.

It marks the first appearance for both Williams and Arnold at the NCAA East Region First Round.
