Buser's Title Propels Track And Field On Day Two Of ASUN Outdoor Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Junior Annika Buser closed a 12-second gap over the final lap to claim the Women's 3000m Steeplechase title and highlight Day Two action at the 2026 ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium on Friday.Â

Buser clocked a personal-best time of 10:25.80 and notched a 1:12.81 final lap to secure the title and earn First Team All-ASUN honors. Junior Nicole Shepherd cleared a height of 1.65m (5-5) to earn Third Team All-ASUN honors and podium third in the Women's High Jump.Â

North Florida stands in third on the Men's side with 46 points, and third on the Women's side with 41 points.Â
Â
11 Ospreys scored on the second day of competition. Overall, 14 more Ospreys posted qualifying times on the track in the Prelims to advance to Finals.Â

Junior Rey Hernandez set the program record in the Men's 100m with a time of 10.49 and Men's 110m Hurdles at 13.97 in the Prelims of each respective event.Â
