The Dolphins struck first with a four-run bottom of the first, but the Ospreys would answer back with a four-run frame in the fourth.Â

A bases-loaded walk to senior infielder Taylor Shephard would put the Ospreys on the scoreboard. A wild pitch would plate another runner. Graduate student Hallie Langford would deliver with an RBI single up the middle to score a pair and tie the contest at 4-4. All four of the Ospreys runs in the inning came with two outs. For Langford, the single extended her on-base streak to 15 games.

UNF would take its first lead of the series with a pinch-hit sacrifice fly from senior infielder Kelsey Vogel in the fifth.

With a runner on second and no outs in the top of the sixth, the Ospreys would enter a rain delay.

After a two-hour rain delay, the game would resume play, and Langford would promptly send an RBI single into left field to extend the UNF lead, 6-4.

North Florida would extend its lead with an RBI single from junior infielder Hannah Davila. Another runner would cross the plate off of a double steal. Two more runners would cross home plate to give UNF a 10-4 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh.
