JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida fell in a back-and-forth River City Rumble game three to Jacksonville in its final game of the regular season, 9-8, on Friday, May 1, at Debbie and Fred Pruitt Softball Complex.

The Ospreys would load the bases in the first inning and a fielding error by the Dolphins center fielder would bring in two runs. Junior infielder Hannah Davila would follow that up with a sacrifice fly to right field to give UNF an early 3-0 advantage.

Senior infielder Kelsey Vogel led off the second inning with a double down the left field line. Redshirt-junior outfielder Kalyn McCarthy sent a single to left field and stole second on the very next pitch to put a pair of base runners in scoring position with no outs.

Graduate student Hallie Langford would deliver with a two RBI single up the middle to extend North Florida's lead to 5-0. Langford would later set a D1 program record with her 34th stolen base of the season.

Jacksonville would respond with a five-run frame of its own in the second inning to even the score, 5-5.

The Dolphins would take their first lead of the game with a three-run home run to right center in the fourth inning.

A pair of RBI ground outs and an RBI double to left center from sophomore outfielder Grace Shaw would tie the game 8-8 in the fifth.

In the bottom of the frame, Jacksonville would retake the lead for the final time, 9-8.
