Men's Tennis Clinch ASUN Postseason Berth

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Despite North Florida men's tennis faltering for the first time in conference play this season against Florida Gulf Coast, the Ospreys have clinched its spot in the ASUN Championship tournament on Friday evening.

The Ospreys will look to capture back-to-back tournament championships, as well as their fourth in program history, when they host the ASUN tournament from Apr. 17-19 at UNF Tennis Complex.
UNF earned a hard-fought doubles point against the Eagles with a 7-6 (7-2) win on the deciding court from the freshmen pair of Lorenzo Messina and Gianluca Filoramo. Andreas Scott and Chase Healey brought in thrilling three-set victories in singles, but the Ospreys ultimately fell in the end, 4-3.Â
North Florida will honor Bruno Vietri on senior day before its match against Stetson on Sunday, Apr. 6, set for 2 p.m., at UNF Tennis Complex.
