JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Tennis's graduate student Andreas Scott has been named the ASUN Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Tueday.
"Andreas [Scott] had a really special weekend," Head Coach John Collins remarked. "We had a chance to celebrate him and Breno [Marques] for Senior Day, and he was able to win both of his matches against Lipscomb. Congratulations!"
The recognition marks the third time this season an Osprey has earned the honor, with sophomore Youssef Labbene previously recognized on Feb. 10 and Feb. 24.
For Scott, it's his first Player of the Week honor this season and the third of his career. He was also named the 2026 ASUN Preseason Player of the Year.
Scott earned a pair of singles wins and a doubles win to help North Florida defeat James Madison on March 17, 5-2, and Lipscomb on Mar. 20, 7-0, and finish 9-3 at home this season.Â
He earned a dominant win in singles play over James Madison, 6-3, 6-2, on court one. Against Lipscomb, he paired up with freshman Aron Major in doubles play for a 6-3 win on court one. Scott also earned a dominant singles win on the top court against the Bisons, 6-2, 6-2.
North Florida travels across the Sunshine State to take on Florida Gulf Coast on Friday, March 27 at 1 p.m. ET, and Stetson on Sunday, March 29 at 2 p.m. ET.
