Kolbe Places First Overall in Second-Career XC Appearance
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Smilla Kolbe shines in her second-career XC race with a top finish, as she led North Florida women's cross country to first overall placement hosting the Duval 5K XC Challenge at the UNF Hayt Golf Complex on Friday evening.
On top of Kolbe's superb time, five Ospreys runners filled out the rest of the top 10, headlined by freshman Madeline Castillo making her collegiate debut in fifth overall. Emma Millson, Cohen Kooker and Isa Leen go sixth through eighth, while Annika Buser closes out the top 10.

- Kolbe follows up her XC debut last season as a Third Team All-ASUN finisher to take first overall in UNF's home meet.
- Six runners made their Osprey debuts headlined by Madeline Castillo and Cohen Kooker in fifth and seventh respectively.
- Emma Millson and Isa Leen start their seasons off well with sub 19-minute times, while Annika Buser rounded out the top 10.
- Melissa Bentayeb, Laci Watford and Ella Chandler made out the top 16 to put nine Ospreys among the top of the leaderboard.
- Jada Williams was just outside the top 20 individuals with a time of 19:34.1, followed with Brooke Yates, Amelia Tackling and Abigail Williams making their collegiate debuts in the top 40.
