Women's Cross Country Places Second At Florida Intercollegiate XC Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Women's Cross Country placed second in the 5K race at the Florida Intercollegiate XC Invitational at Cecil Field on Friday night.
The Ospreys totaled 74 points to finish second in a 19-team field. North Florida placed ahead of Florida Atlantic, Embry-Riddle and Miami (FL) to round out the top five. North Florida bested its fifth-place team finish in the meet in 2025.
Senior Annika Buser led the Ospreys with a third place finish at 17:56.54, while freshman Katelyn O'Brien followed closely behind in fourth place at 17:57.45.
Freshman Isabella Heideman finished in 16th place with a time of 18:19.39, followed by junior Cohen Kooker in 21st place at 18:22.50. Freshman Sophia Aldridge rounded out five Ospreys in the top-25 of the individual standings with a 25th place finish at 18:30.38.
Senior Mei Chiang followed in 36th place with a time of 18:40.68, while junior Brooke Yates came in 40th place at 18:47.46. Junior Sofia Skidmore finished in 50th place with a time of 19:09.74.
O'Brien, Heideman, Aldridge, Chiang, Skidmore and freshman Kylie Stapor all made their North Florida debuts.
