Behind the Line Score
From March 15
- FAMU scored five in the first on three hits and a walk, as well as a three-run home run to left by Griffin Long.
- UNF got one back in the second. Cade Westbrook roped a hanging 3-2 curveball back up the box, scoring Aidan Sweatt.
- FAMU strung together three two-out hits to go up 7-1 in the second.
- North Florida replied with four runs in the second. Trey Spratling-Williams and Grant Grodi notched consecutive singles and Isaiah Byars hooked a double down the left field line, scoring Spratling-Williams. Abraham Sequera followed by clubbing a two-RBI ground rule double to dead center. Aidan Sweatt took a high delivery into left for an RBI single.
- UNF loaded the bases in the third, but FAMU escaped as Sequera was just under a fly out to right.
- The Ospreys evened it at 7-7 in the fourth. After Cade Westbrook doubled and moved to third on a wild pitch, FAMU's catcher dropped a foul ball on Dallen Leach's pop up to extend the at-bat. Leach would fly to shallow left, but it was dropped, allowing Westbrook to score. Another wild pitch setup a game-tying double down the right field line off Brock Edge's bat.
- The two teams battled rain for a few innings, but the showers picked up in the top of the sixth.
From March 22 (Continued Game)
- UNF kept nearly the same lineup from the first portion of the game March 15. Travis Stapleton was the only substitution as he came in for Dallen Leach and immediately made an impact, giving UNF an 8-7 lead in the sixth with an RBI double to left field. He scored Aidan Sweatt who had reached on a single to right.
- Jason Gonzalez spun three scoreless to earn the win while Stephen Halstead put up a scoreless ninth to earn his third save.
