O'Gorman Notches Third Consecutive Top-10 Placement

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - North Florida men's cross country impressed with its depth against some of the top teams in its region after finishing as the runner-up at the Crimson Classic hosted by Alabama on Friday morning.

Aidan O'Gorman took home his third consecutive top-10 finish to start his successful senior season placing ninth overall with a time of 24:17.3. Robert Pedroza and Timothy Doyle also made significant strides with top-20 placements to help the Ospreys finish second overall.

UNF placed as a team ahead of Middle Tennessee State, Clemson, Auburn, Belmont, Georgia and Florida State. Both MTSU and FSU were ranked in the top 10 of the men's South Region going into this race, while Auburn and Belmont were just outside looking in.

FINISH LINE

O'Gorman improved in each of the three checkpoints moving from 25th after 2k to get to his ninth-place finish through 8k.
Pedroza ran right behind O'Gorman to finish as the second Osprey in back-to-back meets, along with placing in the top 25 for all three meets this season.
Doyle joined O'Gorman and Pedroza as the only three runners on the team to improve their standing at every checkpoint with his 19th-place finish.
Macauley Franks snuck into the top 25 times after starting strong and running at a consistent pace the entire race.
Onix Ortiz and Gavin O'Brien saw spots in the race inside the team's top-five runners and made finishes at 29th and 33rd respectively to secure second overall at the meet.
Cole Perry was the top freshman on the UNF squad for a third consecutive meet with his time of 25:18.9 finish within the top 50.
All 11 Ospreys placed inside the top 75 among a field of 145 runners that finished the 8k race.
There were 7 UNF runners that also placed within the top 50, as well as four total within the top 25 times.
