HOW IT HAPPENED
- North Florida was the aggressor in the opening half, outshooting Florida, 5-1, and earning three corner kicks to just one for the Gators
- Thais Reiss had a scoring chance for UNF in the 25th minute that was squashed on a save by the UF netminder
- Florida produced the best scoring chance of the period in the 27th minute as Kouri Peace found herself in a 1v1 situation with Osprey goalie Mercedes Sapp, who stonewalled the shot attempt from five yards out
- The two teams went back-and-forth on the pitch for the nearly half of the second period before Sapp stopped another UF chance in the 65th minute
- In the 73rd minute, Reiss served a diagonal pass across the front of the goal that Kendra Hoffman tracked down and dropped back to Emma Voigt in the middle of the box for a shot that seemed destined to find the net but a diving save by the Gator goalie kept it just short
- Minutes later, Hoffman sliced a low skidding shot that nearly beat Florida goalkeeper
- Sapp earned her third save of the night in the 85th minute to keep zeroes on the scoreboard
- The Ospreys dominated possession in the first overtime and created the only shot of the 10-minute frame
- Carmel Oliveiro narrowly missed the golden goal late in the second overtime session but her chipped shot attempt from just outside the box floated inches over the crossbar

- North Florida outshot Florida, 13-8, for the match paced by 5 shots (2 SOG) from Thais Reiss
- Eight different Ospreys produced shot attempts

FAULCONER TALE
"I am proud of our effort tonight and I told the team if we play like that the rest of our games this year, we will be a tough out. Over the course of the 110 minutes, I thought we were the better team on the night and probably deserved a better result. We were so close to finding that moment to knock home the game winner. In the end it's a nice result for our program." - Head coach Eric Faulconer
