Paige McSwigan Named ASUN Player Of The Week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Women's Soccer's fifth year forward/midfielder Paige McSwigan was recognized as ASUN Player of the Week on Tuesday.
"Great to see Paige [McSwigan] earn the very well-deserved honor as ASUN Player of the Week," Head Coach Eric Faulconer said. "She has spent a lot of time on her own after training working on her finishing. That extra work she has put in has been paying off. Preparation breeds confidence, and Paige is playing with a lot of confidence so far this season."
The recognition marks McSwigan's first ASUN Player of the Week honor and makes her the first Osprey to receive the award since junior forward Allison Souers on Aug. 19, 2024.
McSwigan was also named to TopDrawerSoccer's Team of the Week.
She posted a dominant week on the pitch for North Florida, recording four goals on four shots, eight points and a game-winner highlighted by her first collegiate hat trick.
McSwigan notched a hat trick and the game-winner for six points in 74 minutes to help North Florida earn its first road win of the season on Sept. 6 at Jacksonville State, 4-3. The hat trick marked the first by an Osprey since Sept. 4, 2016.
On Sept. 3, McSwigan also fired in North Florida's lone goal at Alabama A&M in 63 minutes played.
She leads UNF this season in goals (6) and points (12) and ranks fifth in Division I program history with 18 career goals.
North Florida closes out its three-match road stretch at UCF in Orlando, Fla., at UCF Soccer Complex on Thursday, Sept. 10. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
