KENNESAW, Ga. - The North Florida women's tennis team swept Kennesaw State Monday. The Ospreys are now 3-0 in conference play and 10-7 overall on the season.

Nationally ranked No. 70 Catherine Gulihur and Ana Paula Melilo edged Taylor Dean and Paola Cortez, 6-4 on court one in doubles. The pair are now 12-2 in the one slot and 3-0 in conference play.

Constanza Gorches and Lucia Montano clinched doubles shortly after, earning a 6-4 win on court two against Valentina Taddia and Ji Youn Lee. Court three went unfinished.

In the one slot, Montano kept her momentum in singles, downing Dean 6-1, 6-1. Gulihur stretched the Osprey's lead to 3-0 after dominating Lee on court two 6-2, 6-0. Gorches clinched the match for North Florida with a 6-1, 6-0, win in the four slot.

Junior Melilo continued UNF's hot streak with a victory in court three. She downed Cortez 6-4, 6-1. Freshman Annabelle Davis improved to 5-1 in singles, defeating Soomin Kim 6-3, 6-1 in the six slot. Summer Yardley finished the sweep, edging Sofia Pinedo 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (10-4).

The Ospreys look to keep their perfect conference record when they return home Thursday to host Stetson.
