First Serve: Fall Tennis Finale at the Wake Forest Fall Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis concludes the fall season at the Wake Forest Fall Invite, a late-season addition for the program after last competing at the ITA Southeast Regionals.

Who's Making the Trip
Four Ospreys are making the trip to the invite.

Matt Carroll, Rodrigo Crespo, Joe Ellis and Breno Marques are all headed to Winston-Salem. All four have already seen time this fall at the Bedford Cup hosted by Florida State.

Crespo made the Flight A East Doubles Finals in the Bedford Cup.

UNF History
North Florida men's tennis is coming off history in the most previous competition of the fall.

Dominik Barton became the first Osprey to advance to the ITA Southeast Regionals Semifinals after defeating opponents from Georgia, Miami, Georgia Tech and UCF.

The furthest a UNF men's tennis player has made it previously was the round of 16.

Catching the Wake
UNF has played at Wake Forest in dual play on two occasions, competing in Winston-Salem in January of 2016 and 2017.
