Ospreys Will Compete in Gainesville, Oct. 21-25
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF men's tennis takes on the ITA Southeast Regionals beginning Oct. 21 and finishing up Oct. 25 in Gainesville, Fla.
Regional doubles and singles champions earn the opportunity to qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships at the end of the fall season.
1) Who's Who
UNF's entire roster of nine student-athletes will make the trip to Gainesville.
The Ospreys roster features only one newcomer in Breno Marques and eight Ospreys that have earned at least one year of experience with UNF.
North Florida's whole roster earned playing time at the Bedford Cup earlier this month.
2) Last Time Out
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Men's tennis' Rodrigo Crespo and Jonas Hartenstein made a run to the Bedford Cup Flight A East Doubles title match, coming up just a tiebreaker shy of winning the tournament as UNF closed out the weekend in Tallahassee.
3) Get the Details
Singles and doubles play will be conducted with a single elimination format.
The University of Florida's Alfred A. Ring Tennis Center will host the action on the facilities' hard courts.
4) Across the Net
The ITA Southeast Regionals will feature a number of teams in a highly competitive field: North Florida, Florida, Georgia, UCF, USF, Georgia Tech, Miami, Florida State, Georgia State, FAU, FGCU, Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State, Mercer and Stetson.
