HOW IT HAPPENED
- LaSalle (0-1-1) dictated pace of play through much of the first half building a 7-1 advantage in shot attempts
- The Explorers also held a 5-0 edge in corner kicks earned
- Osprey goalkeeper Rhiannon Conelley turned away three shots in the opening 45 minutes to help North Florida reach intermission in a scoreless tie
- The scoring drought ended early in the second period as LaSalle's Maci Bower tallied the team's first goal of the season in the 53rd minute
- UNF turned up the offense in the second half, earning a 6-5 margin in shots with three going on frame
- Junior Thais Reiss eventually netted the equalizer in the 88th minute, as Kendra Hoffman slipped a pass to her on top right side of the box allowing her to cut it inside and slash a shot past the Explorer keeper
- North Florida attempted the only two shots on frame in the first OT while LaSalle answered with five shots in the second OT stanza requiring a pair of stops from UNF's Kelli Crowley, who replaced Conelley between the pipes late in regulation

- Hoffman collected her first assist of the year, marking back-to-back games with points scoredÂ
- Crowley, a redshirt senior, finished with three saves in her season debut in the net
- Ospreys being undefeated through the first two matches of the season marks the best start in program history since opening 2013 with a tie and win | UNF also started 2011 and 2007 with tie and win, while 2006 marked best DI start with a pair of victories

FAULCONERÂ TALK
"First of all, what a fantastic venue to play a match. It was really a special opportunity for our players to play at UNC. La Salle is a very good team and they really took it to us in the first half. Rhiannon Conelley came up with some big saves to at least get us to the half 0-0. We made a change in formation at halftime and moved some players into positions, where we thought they would be more effective. I felt the game started to even out a bit in the second half, but we kind of gifted them a goal. With that said, our players dug deep and kept grinding away. We really ramped up the pressure late in the half and our players deserve all the credit. Thais Reiss continues to come up big in those critical moments and her 88th minute goal to tie the match rewarded us for our second half effort. We are still undefeated to start the 2019 season. I am proud of our team and we now turn the focus on Presbyterian next Friday." - Head coach Eric Faulconer
