FAULCONERÂ TALK
"We got off to a slow start in some pretty tough conditions in regard to the heat. For the second week in a row, we had a 'Big Five' moment with Vanessa Piermont's goal inside five minutes to go before halftime. That was a huge momentum boost for our team. I thought we settled down in the second half and created some more chances. We were also cleaner defensively after the half. It won't show in the boxscore but I thought Sophia Thompson was a real bright spot for us today. She won a lot of 50/50 and second balls. She was clean with the ball in the middle third of the field. The match wasn't pretty, but we will take it and focus on Sunday." - Head coach Eric Faulconer
