Ospreys Set to Play Summer Ball Across Three States
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Six Ospreys across three states and five collegiate wood bat leagues will be taking the field this summer.
North Florida will have two on the Leesburg Lightning in catchers Tanner Clark and Tucker Horsley. Righty Will Ohme heads to Boca Raton to play with the Blazers of the South Florida Collegiate Summer Baseball League, rounding out the North Florida representatives in Florida summer ball.
Zach Chappell has already made two appearances for the Green Bay Booyah of the Northwoods League, spinning 1.2 scoreless while fanning three and contributing to a combined shutout.Â
Catcher Austin Hurwitz and infielder Abraham Sequera will both be located in Massachusetts, playing for two different leagues this summer. Hurwitz and the North Adams (Mass.) Steeplecats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League opened the season last night. Sequera and the Brockton Rox (Mass.) of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League began the season May 29.

A pair of Ospreys were drafted in this year's MLB Draft earlier this week. Get the details on righty Brad Deppermann (Chicago Cubs -Â Seventh Round, 222nd Pick) and outfielder Tanner Murphy (New York Mets - 18th Round, 538th Pick).
