FORT MYERS, Fla. - North Florida Baseball fell in Game 2 of its road series at FGCU, 5-3, at Swanson Stadium on Saturday.

A trio of Ospreys led the way offensively with multi-hit performances. Redshirt junior utility player Boone Hosey improved his on-base streak to 29 games with a 2-4 outing and one walk.

Junior infielder Mathew Farner went 2-4 with one run and one walk. Redshirt freshman outfielder Sean Benjamin went 2-3 with one RBI and one walk.

Senior left-handed pitcher Kai Etwaru delivered a solid appearance out of the bullpen for North Florida. Etwaru dealt 3.0 innings and allowed just one run and one walk while notching five strikeouts in relief. He threw 51 total pitches and 36 total strikes in 3.0 frames.

Trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning, North Florida fought hard to tie the game with a three-run top of the third frame. The Ospreys tallied RBI base hits in three straight at bats to knot the score at three apiece.

Junior outfielder Gialdri Gomez drove in North Florida's first run of the game in the top of the third with an RBI single to right field.

Redshirt sophomore outfielder Carter White cut North Florida's deficit to just one run in the top of the third inning with an RBI base hit through the right side.

Benjamin tied the game, 3-3, in the top of the third frame with an RBI single up the middle.

The Eagles responded with one run in the fifth inning and one in the sixth, bringing the score to its eventual final margin.
