The Facts: Men’s Tennis Finishes the Fall at Georgia Southern Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The North Florida men's tennis team closes out the fall in Statesboro, Ga., at the Georgia Southern Championships Friday, Nov. 1 through Sunday, Nov. 3.

1. Last Time Out
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The North Florida men's tennis squad bowed out of the ITA Southeast Regionals on the second to last day of competition in Gainesville Oct. 26. The Ospreys had four players in action across three matches, with two singles matches and one doubles bout occurring Saturday.

2. Checking In
UNF has competed in five different tournaments during the fall season … UNF has competed at the Seahawk Fall Invite, Duke James Bonk Invite, Mercer Gridiron Classic, Bedford Cup and ITA Southeast Regionals … All-told the Ospreys are 38-32 in singles play while going 11-14 in doubles … Federico Nani paces UNF with nine singles victories … Redshirt-sophomore Joe Ellis leads UNF with a .833 winning percentage in doubles this fall.

3. Taking Inventory
The Ospreys return six from last year's squad, losing only two in Till Von Winning and Sahil Deshmukh … UNF has two seniors in Federico Nani and Charley Castaing, two juniors in Jorge Nunez and Nilo Duarte, sophomores in Joe Ellis and Dominik Barton and freshman Patrick Kotan.
