
Men's Tennis Bounces Back With 5-2 Win Over James Madison

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Tennis bounced back with a 5-2 win over James Madison at UNF Tennis Complex on Tuesday afternoon.
After dropping court one to begin doubles action, graduate student Breno Marques and junior Enrique Pena quickly responded with a 6-2 doubles win on court three. With the win, Pena improved to 3-0 this spring in doubles play.
Freshman Riccardo Ciulli and sophomore Youssef Labbene clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory on court two.
Graduate student Andreas Scott kicked off singles play with a dominant 6-3, 6-2 win on court one. Labbene coasted to a 6-2, 6-0 win on court two to add to the Osprey advantage.
Clinching the match for North Florida, freshman Kyle Piqueras picked up his first singles win at the number three position, 6-2, 6-1.
Sophomore Joao Portugal made the score 5-0 UNF with a 6-2, 6-4 win on court five.
North Florida will play its final home match of the season against Lipscomb on Friday, March 20, at 1 p.m. ET at the UNF Tennis Complex.
