Ospreys Down Eagles To Open ASUN Play

Jacksonville, Fla. – North Florida men's tennis picked up a solid 5-2 victory over ASUN rival FGCU to open league play on Friday night at the UNF Tennis Complex.
QUICK HITS
- North Florida got out to an early 1-0 lead with the doubles point after Till Von Winning and Sahil Deshmukh picked up a tight 7-6 win in the No. 2 position. Jefta Kecic and Lasse Muscheites also won at the No. 1 position.
- Kecic dominated in the No. 1 spot, giving up just two games in his victory.Â
- Muscheites followed with another point as he dominated in the No.2 spot, dropping just four games.
- Deshmukh continued his strong play with a straight set win to clinch the match for UNF.
- Each team picked up one more point with Nilo Durate coming out as the winner in three sets in the No. 6 spot.
