Women's Tennis Hosts UCF on Wednesday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - After 10 days off, North Florida women's tennis returns home to host UCF on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

QUICK HITS

The Knights will be looking for revenge as the Ospreys have grabbed a 4-3 win in the past two seasons.
Junior Luise Intert grabbed the match-winning point in the No. 4 spot a season ago. She paired up with Rafaela Gomez to help get the doubles point as well with a win at No. 2 doubles.
Rafaela Gomez is 2-0 at the No. 3 position, while also totaling two wins in doubles play.
Senior Michelle Valdez is still in the Top 100 rankings at No. 83.
Irina Karagozishvili and Kinga Gartner both own three singles wins in the No. 5 and No. 6 spots.
North Florida plays nine of its next 10 matches at home including Friday and Sunday.

FAMILIAR FOE

The teams have faced off for three consecutive seasons.
During the Bedford Cup, Valdez and Quetzali Vazquez each earned wins against UCF players. Vazquez also beat Claudia May from UCF during the Qualifying round of the ITA Southeast Regional.
Karagaozishvili took down Monica Matias from UCF in two sets in the ITA Backdraw. Matias is currently 6-1 in the No. 2 singles spot.

Cortney Cesarini is coming off of an American Player of the Week honor after going 2-0 in doubles and singles against FAMU and Georgia Southern.
Natalia Serrano is the No. 1 singles player with a 5-2 mark on the year.
Serranno and Emilia Granstrom have paired up for a 7-0 mark in No. 2 doubles.

LOOKING AHEAD
UNF stays at home to host Bethune-Cookman on Friday at 2 p.m. and then turns around for Troy on Sunday at 9 a.m.
