FORT MYERS, Fla. – No. 1-seed North Florida Women's Tennis improved to 24-0 and swept No. 5 seed North Alabama, 4-0, to advance to the 2026 ASUN Championship Final at FGCU Tennis Complex in Fort Myers, Fla. on Friday.Â

North Florida advanced its 12th ASUN Championship Final match and is aiming to secure its conference-best 11th ASUN Championship title. The Ospreys look to earn their third ASUN Championship title under Head Coach Catherine Dunugan.Â

North Florida has yet to lose a point in its ASUN Championship run with consecutive sweeps.Â

Senior Laurie Barendse and graduate student Isabel Oliveira posted a 6-1 win at the top doubles court. Gabby Goyins and senior Jasmin Makela added a 6-2 win at the third doubles line to secure the point.Â

It marked the 16th win this season for the top doubles pair of Barendse and Oliveira.Â

North Florida maintained its momentum into singles action with first-set wins on four of the six courts. Barendse extended the lead with a 6-2, 6-3 win on Court 1. Goyins secured a 3-0 lead with a 6-2, 6-1 win on Court 5.Â

Graduate student Anslee Long clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-4 win on Court 6.Â
