QUOTABLE...
"Both the men and women jumpers and sprinters came off of pre-season workouts with solid performances.  Desmond Robb continues to get stronger in the 400m with an indoor school record run of 49.48 eclipsing the time he won the ASUN title with last year. He also had a solid 200m run of 22.55 for a 6th place finish.  In the women's 400m Hallie Grimes pushed her 400m to a time of 57.13 for a 2nd place finish along with running a strong 200m of 26.00.  Tianna Hearn looked good in an early season 60m hurdle race, finishing with a time of 9.38.  The women high jumpers came out strong for this opening season meet with jumps of 1.65m (5'- 4") finishing tied for 3rd.  In the men's high jump Bobby Harris continues to push the bar up with a winning jump of 2.20m (7'-2.5"). His jump puts him in the number one spot in the nation after week 1 of D1 indoor track, and set a new UNF indoor record.  I feel all the athletes had a great pre-season and their results showed that. The group of jumpers and sprinters will get back to work and be ready to compete again after the break." -- UNF assistant coach Greg Krupa
