The Short Story: The North Florida men's track and field team had a strong performance in their indoor season opener on Saturday, breaking a pair of school records and winning a event title. Senior sprinter Desmond Robb blitzed to personal and school record times in the 200m and 400m, while senior Brad Hort clocked a personal best in claiming the 5000m crown. Junior standout Bobby Harris posted a runner-up showing in the high jump.

THE FINISH LINE
- Similar to the women's team, UNF got things rolling early on the track as Brad Hort earned the 5000m title in a personal record time of 14:46.19 in the day's first race.
- Desmond Robb continued his record-setting career racing to a school and personal best time in both the 200m (22.30) and 400m (49.45)
- In the Mile, juniors Nick Morken (4:15.66) and Tyler Stahl (4:16.34) finished second and third, respectively, with Stahl clocking a personal record
- Morken led a strong group of performers in the 800m, finishing fifth (1:54.42), just ahead of junior teammate Rayford James in seventh in a personal best time of 1:55.42
- Freshman Noah Perkins had a strong collegiate debut with a runner-up finish in the 3000m (8:31.76)Â
