ORLANDO, Fla. – North Florida Track and Field opened action at the UCF Knights Invite with impressive performances at UCF Track and Field Complex on Friday.

"We had some good performances today," Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Jeff Pigg said. "It's still early season and we are getting things done. Aiden's 1500m was very strong given the environment. Katerina ran a nice 400mH race along and Jada had a very nice 3000m Steeplechase. I'm looking forward to another nice day tomorrow."

Junior Rey Hernandez clocked a third-place time of 52.13 in the Men's 400m Hurdles. Senior Ella Chandler posted a second-place time of 4:32.25 and sophomore Ava Wyant turned in a fourth-place time of 4:34.26 for a pair of top-five finishes in the Women's 1500m.

Graduate student Aiden Arnold turned in a first-place time of 3:45.09 to lead four Ospreys in the top-10 in the Men's 1500m. Senior Jada Williams place third in the Women's 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 11:01.91.

North Florida returns to action for day two of the UCF Knights Invite on Saturday, March 28.
