Successful Second Day for Women's Tennis

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis had another successful day at the UNF Invite as the team walked away with * wins on day two on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys started off with two wins against Troy in doubles matches. Both victories were won in a tiebreaker with Luise Intert and Quetzali Vazquez grabbing an 8-7 (1) win, while Rafaela Gomez and Kinga Gartner paired up for an 8-7 (4) victory.
In singles play, North Florida swept opponents from Barry and Flagler. Michelle Valdez defeated Sonja Larsen in a hard-fought three-set win. She won 6-4, 4-6, 7-5. All of the other matches were quick as the Ospreys swept in two.
Barry and Flagler topped the Ospreys in the second doubles match of the afternoon.
The final matches of the weekend are scheduled for tomorrow at 9 a.m.
