WINDERMERE, Fla. -- The North Florida men's golf team makes a quick return to tournament action with play beginning Sunday in the prestigious Tavistock Collegiate Invitational held at Isleworth Country Club.
The TCI field is traditionally one of the most competitve pairings on the collegiate docket featuring many of the nation's top ranked programs. This year's 15-team group includes 10 squads currently ranked in the Top 50 by Golfstat highlighted by five Top 10 squads led by No. 1 Illinois. Fourteen teams in the field are listed in the Top 100 including UNF with a current rank of 74.
UNF posted a sixth-place finish in their most recent competition on Oct. 7 at the weather-shortened Tar Heel Intercollegiate. Sophomores Philip Knowles and Andrew Alligood both tied for eighth place to lead the Osprey performers. Knowles closed play with a round of 4-under 68 to help him earn ASUN Golfer of the Week honors on Thursday.
North Florida's lineup for this year's TCI will be Knowles and Alligood joined by fellow sophomore Travis Trace, junior Dillon Woods and senior Osten Waite, who will be playing on his home course.
The TCI marks the second of four straight weeks of tournament action for the Ospreys, who will also be competing in the Quail Valley Collegiate (Oct. 24-25) and Ka'Anapali Collegiate Classic (Nov. 4-6) in upcoming weeks.

"We always look forward to playing at Isleworth. It is a tremendous course and the tournament always has a great field. It is a good test for us to have such a quick turnaround back into competition." -- Head Coach Scott Schroeder
