HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – University of North Florida women's basketball wraps up a key Atlantic Sun road trip on Saturday evening when the Ospreys visit Northern Kentucky. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., at Regents Hall and will air live on ESPN3.
UNF comes off a huge 57-54 win at Lipscomb on Thursday night, earning its first Atlantic Sun road victory since Mar. 2, 2013. Destinee Smith tallied 20 points for her fourth 20-point game of the season, while Paulina Zaveckaite had a 13 points and 14 rebounds.
40 All The Way: Destinee Smith has seen plenty of court time in each of the Ospreys' last two games. She's seen all 40 minutes of action against both Kennesaw State (Feb. 14) and Lipscomb (Feb. 19).
PZ for THREE!: Although more commonly known for her rebounding capabilities, Paulina Zaveckaite has hit a three-pointer in each of the last two games. Zaveckaite's trey at Lipscomb was the first basket for either team.
Scouting Northern Kentucky: Enters Saturday with a 14-12 overall record and is one of four teams with a 5-6 Atlantic Sun mark… attempts to snap a three-game losing skid on Saturday… comes off a 72-60 loss to Jacksonville on Thursday night at The Bank of Kentucky Center… Saturday's game is the first time the Norse are playing in Regents Hall this season… leads the Atlantic Sun in free throw percentage, shooting 76.3 percent (397-for-520)… Melody Doss leads the team with 14.0 points per game, while Christine Roush is at 12.7 points per game… Kaitlyn Gerrety pulls down 5.2 rebounds per game…
