JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida women's basketball finishes a three-game Atlantic Sun homestand on Saturday when the Ospreys host Kennesaw State for Senior Day and Play 4Kay. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m., and the game will air live on ESPN3 with Brent Martineau and Jessica Blaylock on the call.
Â
"We need to be prepared for tomorrow's game with Kennesaw State," said head coach Mary Tappmeyer. "We cannot focus on our past; we can only focus on our future. Adversity reveals character and our team still has the determination to get better."
Â
Prior to the start of Saturday's game, the Ospreys will honor its three senior student-athletes – Destinee Smith, Brittney Wright and Paulina Zaveckaite – and senior manager Andrew Nickerson for their contributions to the program.
Â
UNF attempts to snap a five-game losing skid and comes off a 59-50 setback on Thursday night to USC Upstate. Paulina Zaveckaite registered a 20-point, 20-rebound double-double, becoming the first Osprey in program history to have at least 20 points and 20 rebounds in a single game.
Â
In recognition of Play 4Kay, fans are asked to wear pink.
Â
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for Youth 17-under, Senior Citizens, Military and UNF Faculty/Staff with proper ID. Admission for UNF students with a valid Osprey1 Card and children 2-and-under is free.
