JACKSONVILLE, Fla.  – University of North Florida women's basketball continues with a three-game homestand on Thursday as the Ospreys welcome Northern Kentucky to UNF Arena in an Atlantic Sun match-up. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., and the game will air on ESPN 3 with Brent Martineau and Jessica Blaylock on the call. The game is also being presented by Pepsi.
Â
"We have been working hard and are looking forward to tomorrow's game," said head coach Mary Tappmeyer. "Northern Kentucky is a very fundamentally sound team. It is very important for us to bounce back from our last two very disappointing performances and use tomorrow to show our true abilities."
Â
UNF attempts to halt a three-game skid with Thursday night's contest. The Ospreys, who have not won since their 63-62 overtime victory against UMKC, have dropped games to cross-town rival Jacksonville and Atlantic Sun powers Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson to being conference play.
Â
Thursday is Middle School night. Teams should contact alicia.ramsdell@unf.edu to reserve their free tickets.
Â
Meanwhile, tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for Youth 17-under, Senior Citizens, Military and UNF Faculty and Staff with proper ID. Admission for UNF students with a valid Osprey1 Card and children 2-and-under are free. Tickets may be purchased online at www.UNFOspreys.com, by phone at (904) 620-BIRD (2473) or at the UNF Arena Ticket Office.
