JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Another tough opponent visits UNF Arena on Saturday afternoon when University of North Florida women's basketball hosts Atlantic Sun co-leader and perennial power Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
Â
"We will need to do a much better job in defensive transition on Saturday if we want to give ourselves a chance to compete against Florida Gulf Coast," said head coach Mary Tappmeyer. "We understand our situation and the focus and effort it will take us to attain our goal. It is now a matter of focus execution and effort."
Â
It is the second-straight game in which the Ospreys host a team that is co-leading the Atlantic Sun. UNF fell 87-59 to Stetson on Thursday night. Both Larkira Jones and Janeá Williams grabbed 10 rebounds, marking the third time this season two Ospreys tallied double-digit boards in the same game.
